should be October 2004 of course :-)

Since October 2005, I've mostly switched to digital and aquired a D70.
Right now I'm very satisfied with the images - the only thing I miss
is the lack of wide angle (the 24mm with this image was shot, is like
a 36mm) - I'm saving for a WA-zoom. Please take a look at this example
and tell me what you think.

just went through the old comments on one of my pics, and decided to visit your site. I must say, I'm devastated and kind of feel the loss you've suffered - I am very sorry for your loss. I'm not able to rate any photo on this folder -they are too sad. This shouldn't happen to any of us.
Good that you are continuing for photographic art.
It is really beautyful.
Best regards,
Martin

Fantastic panorama!
Contrasts nicely with the Mesa Arch shot by someone else I found on the same page of best-rated photos.
Impressive. I would like to see both pics on a enlarged on a wall!

Wow,
incredible shot. I think the dark foreground adds to the atmosphere

Image taken with a Nikon 401x + 70-300 telelens, on an evening after a
day of heavy rain (film: 100 ASA Elite II), Flatbed Scan of paper copy.

Giving low ratings seems to be a habit of some people.
Your picture has a lot of expression, and photographing the man from the back as a semi profile is a very good idea. The only disturbing thing in my opinion is some dirt or what ever to the right above the persons hat (right of the picture frame in the background). Maybe its a good idea to remove with the stencil tool of photo shop (or GIMP, if you prefer Linux).

The black spots on the left centre are in fact no atefacts or dust grains, they are a pair of birds
(Geese or similar) flying by. For this reason I did not remove them.
