Thanks Puppy, but that link is just for a aprts list. I want a service manual.
Also does anyone know where I can buy individual parts?? Do I have to make
friends with a repair shop? Can anyone order parts from Canon?
thanks

Blower brushes do just that....blow the dust around, and don't remove it, And
there is more chance of adding more than you are taking away.
hope this helps someone

No one seems to mentioning the "save for web" feature this will give you all
the jpeg options, as well as gif. You can also create a web photo gallery, if
you have a group you are working with. Or under the file menu do a batch
process. You will first have to create an action. Just record the steps for one
image, then apply them to your batch.. Better yet get the new version of PS
8.0, and your able to save as Raw Tiff, jpeg all at once......look up Dr. Browns
scripts..

Thanks For all the responses.
The main reason for this is to be in the field, and get away from $120.00
canon batteries and or get away from DCB that is $340.00+/-
My main concern would be getting the voltage/amprage right, as not to
damage the camera, What about adapting already existing battery packs/
charging systems....ie cordless drill etc.
Weight isn't really a concern, as it can be hung from the tripod, or worn in a
backpack.

Hi there.
I am about to purchase a EOS 1d.
It appears that the batteries are just 12 vlt dc .
Has anyone made, or know of a home made solution for an external battery
pack.
I know about the "digital battery" http://www.digitalcamerabattery.com/
I don't really want to spend $400.00+ on a battery. Is there a way to make my
own, or adapt say a cordless drill system, that already has a charger...etc.
Looking for a home brew solution.
Thanks
Daren

Hi there. Just so you know there is a strange beast out there. I believe it is
from a company called novaflex. It is a mount that allows you to use Nikon
lens on a EOS body, and not loose your infinity focus. There hard to find, but
they are out there. I had the same dilema when I switched to canon...I didn't
want to sell my 600/f/4, and have to replace it in Canon..Good luck!

I own the 14mm, and have had great results with it. I haven't owned the less expensive models so I can't give you a direct comparrison. It holds it's value, and you get what you pay for!

Thanks. But I'm not talking about "caps and straps" I'm talking about parts...like
the card reader for an eos 1d, or mirror, shutter, etc..
