1.
Hi all!
I hope someone can help me with this one!
I have ordered the Asus Zenbook UX303 LB (as my second computer) with the 1920x1080 resolution on a 13.3" screen. It can also be delivered with a 3200x1800 resolution. I plan to edit my photos using Photoshop and Lightroom. So, the triillion dollar question is; have I picked the right one....? Is 3200x1800 better....? I think that the menues, icons and text will be too small....But perhaps I'm wrong..?
Best regards,
2.
Hi all!
I am considering buying a set of square filters for my lenses. I am using a dslr and for the moment I have two lenses, both Nikon; the 18 - 105mm and the 50mm 1.4. These two have a filter diameter of 67mm and 52mm.
I want to take my landscape photography up a notch and I have therefore decided to get some square ND-filters. I have never used square filters before so I would appreciate if someone can tell me what I need in terms of quality filters and equipment. If I haven't got it all wrong I need - in addition to the filters.... - a filter holder and filter adapter. True?
Which producers make the best filters, and are there perhaps a filter set I can buy? I plan to use the ND-filter to reduce the light in the clouds and sky. How "strong" does the ND-filter have to be?
I hope some of you can help mw with this one. A link to an online shop would be nice, too!
Thank you!
Regards,
3.
Hi all!
Happy greetings from Norway!
I have seen several photos lately with a very loooong exposure! I love the effect!
It's like the one here: Vico bath

As far as I know the filter used is a ND1000.Maybe I'm wrong. Please bear in mind that I am a complete
novice when it comes to filters!
I am having difficulty trying to locate a shop on the net where I can buy one of these beauties! And I am not sure what to look for.... Because I have several lenses (with a 67 and 77mm ø; Nikon and Hasselblad) I thought I'd try the square ones. Or is that maybe not wise...?
Perhaps one or two of you guys can help me with this? If you have a tip or two on how to also get the effect I'm after, please let me know!!
Take care and keep shooting,
4.
I have a similar problem of overexposure with my D90 and the 18-105. I have tried almost all the things mentioned above, but still get very overexposed pictures from time to time. II never know when I can trust the kit to give me correct exposure.
I have also tried with another lens, the 50mm 1.4 (and shot with the 18-105 on 50mm), and got much better results. After asking several people about this, incl people from Nikon, I gave up. Not one person knew what could cause this error. Now I use the method bescribed by Bert (above), and get ok result, but I am not at all happy with the d90 together with the 18-105. Using the 50mm 1,4 and 70-300 (both Nikon, now, that's another story! Great results every time!
Maybe Davids tip above will give me a clue about what can be wrong. I will most certainly try it out! Thanks!

  5. Hi all!

I have just bought a 503cx, and now I want a flash. I have set my eyes

on a Metz 54 MZ-4, which in my country (Norway) costs about $600 (new)

    .

Now, I bought the Hassy used, and will of course settle with a used

Metz. So, I just got an offer on a MZ-3 (as new!) for $270, delivered

    to my door.

Both offers are without the adapter I need for my Hassy.

So, which one should I get? And what is the difference between these

    two?

    Realy apreciate all your help!

  6. Hello!

I've just purchased a 503cx and want a polaroid back as well. On eBay

I find several, with names like '100 Polaroid back' and 'NPC Polaroid

back'. What is the differents bewteen these two? Can I use them both

    on a 503cx?

Any help will do! And, as you probably have understood by now, I'm new

    to the Hassy world!

    Regards,

    Bjarte

  7. Check out the book 'Sharp' by Nigel Parry! It's filled with fantastic portraits, and very little text! You can buy it very cheap at Amazon UK, only ?27 + shipping, or $37.40 at Amazon USA!

Read more about the photographer at Hasselblads own website:

    http://www.hasselblad.se/gallery/mastersPresent.asp?secId=257&itemId=3064&iShowYear=2004

Buy the book! You will not regret it! I sure don't!

    Best regards,

  8. Thank you all! It's nice to have you around!

I've just bought a 503cx (not the one I mentined above) from a seller that I think is 110% serious! It doesn't matter who is is, but I'm sure he operates absolutely legit AND that I will be very satisfied with the kit!

The camera is in the mail...I can't wait!!!

    Best regards,

  9. Hello all!

I am considering getting my hands on a Hassy after having used a

Mamiya RB67 for some years. The RB is a great camera, but much to

heavy for my use (portraits, street life, etc.). So far one of the

cameras I've seen for sale is a 503cx with 80mm f2.8 CFT* Planar lens

(any good?),waist level finder and 120 film back, for $1,250.00. Is

this a good deal? I'm asking you because the Hassy World is a

complitely new world to me! In fact, all I really know about

    Hasselblad is the great quality.

Is this camera, the 503cx the right camera for a Hassy-beginner?

    Hope someone can help me?
