Looks like a wax figure to me too. And unlike a previous poster, I would NOT still consider it a great photo if it was not a real person. I am not saying it is definitely a fake. Just that it doesn't look real to me. Maybe Chris can post another picture of the man in a different position to confirm his authenticity. I would find it hard to believe that somebody would only snap off one shot of such a compelling subject. If he is real...kudos on a magnificent image.

Daniel. While you are at it, another thing that would go a long way towards giving your preaching a bit more credibility. The F5. Why such excess? You are obviously a talented photographer. Could you not make such moving images with a lesser camera? An old Minolta STR-201 maybe. You could probably pick one up on Ebay for $75. Then you could sell off all the high-end Nikon equipment and feed one of those Thai villages for the next year. Then, when you start another of your self-righteous monologues, it might carry a bit more weight. You having done your part to make the rest of us Nikon shooters feel guilty that we are still using such excessive machines.

Daniel - I am sure you are the ultimate eco-hero as well as a great photographer (I grudgingly admit).....but unless you got from Thailand to London on a bicylce and row boat (i.e. under your own power without contributing any pollution to our precious world) keep the self-righteous nonsense to yourself. Makes you seem just a tad hypocritical.

Shoot whatever the hell you want to shoot. Please don't consider anything but technical criticism of your picture. Quite a number of people on this site have HUGE pyschological and emotional hangups that they like to project onto others. (I have my share of them as well, I just keep them to myself.) The large contingent of the "holier than thou" crowd LOVE to preach the gospel of humanity to us wretched souls. I hope I can speak for you when I tell them to save their breath. Shoot what you want, when you want and how you want. When judgement day comes, you are the one who has to live with your choices. As do each of us. I'm quite sure those pillars of morality and ethics critical of your "tactics" are out there as we speak selling their camera and computer equipment so they can donate the proceeds to Habitat for Humanity. Bless them. I'm sure Saint Peter is setting aside a special place for them up above.
I liked the picture. Would have been better, IMO, without the car.
