I've seen moonbows before, but they always seem to be from Yosemite Falls. This is the first one I've seen from the bottom of the falls. Great shot!

Were the light rays caused by smoke or mist in the air? What was your exposure info? (28mm lens?, wide open at 5 minutes?)

This image looks good enough to be taken (posed) on a game preserve...but wasn't! I wish I could have been there with a few rolls of film.

The joshua tree was lit by a flash from the side. I don't remember if it was multiple bursts or not. I had tried several types of exposures while the camera was on the tripod. It has a nice lit up foreground, sihlouetted hill midground, and starry background. I wish I could go back and take several more rolls of film. It's just so beautiful in the desert at night.

these tufa appear larger than visible now.
