No, I did not do any manipulation of the photo. I will take a look at the original negative.

The Schooner is the LazyJack out of Camden, ME. It scanned in much darker that the original. When I had it blown up to an 8x12 the name of the schooner is clearly visible.

Sometimes it is hard to explain why a picture strikes one, but all I know is that I like it. I like the mood it evokes. Good job, especially for a beginner.

Thanks, It was during nesting season and both eagles were in the same tree together. It was on an island in the Androscoggin River in Auburn, Maine. Did not want to keep the canoe too close for very long, but it was enough time to get some good shots off.
