Thanks for your comment. To answer your question, I did not use a reflector. Just a flash and a tungston light on her right side.

I understand you point, but my son is not an actor, he's 4 years old and he would not follow instructions for the shoot. I took this picture "on the fly" and I think this reaction on my daughter's face is surprise to see my camera, more than unwanted hug. These two do hug like this regularly. Thanks for your comment.

Now this is a great comment, and it will probebly give me a great hand in my photography practice!!! I'm not looking for that kind of comment. If you don't like the picture it's ok and I want to know what I should do to improve it. But I really don't care about what you think of the model. You hate her? I think you have a problem, and that kind of comment should not be accepted on the forum.

This is a good portrait. Good lightning of subject and backgound. nice execution for classical portrait. I don't understand the 1-1 rating of that "K D". He probably don't understand himself!
  1. I really like the pose and composition, but the light is very hard. You should try to bounce the flash on something larger, like white wall or a slide projection screen. Also, you should think buying a second flash and a remote trigger. You can find some at low price.
