    Hi Nadya,

thanks for the comment. The sky was actually overcast, but not too dark - it was hard for me to expose for the shadows along the river, and get the sky dark too. But maybe in PS I will try to darken the sky.

    local girl

I think that the composition is excellent, the combination of the simple innocence of the girl and the dog, with the jagged and rusted barbed wire cutting across the frame exemplifies the dichotomy of human nature (the innocence and the brutality of man). I like that the barbed wire cuts across the dog, but not the girl. It highlights the sharpness of the barbs (against the dog) but does not perturb the image of the girl. The color is also excellent, as well as the shadow of the leaves on the house.

Wow, this picture really grabbed my attention... I think the lighting is just perfect, her body and face are not too dark, not too light, there is just enought light to see her body and face, and it almost seems like the lighting is coming from above, but at the same time it is hard to pin point... her expression is also very serene, the picture could of almost been in a "dark" mood, but her expression actually makes it a "light" picture... very well done! ~Phillip

    Thanks for looking...

  1. Hi,

How did you find a way into the catacombs? Did you have a tour guide? I will be in Paris in a few weeks, and was hoping you could tell me how to find a way ïn"...

    Thanks

    Phillip

    (great shot by the way)
