the people stands on a little platform around 10 meters higher than where i am, and it is shot by a long zoom around 300mm, pressing the front and the background in a plane, which might give you the feeling.

a photographer is shot close to the Cross

original one was from a hanging beijing opera mask. the mask means

something magic or mighty to me. the camera is always making masks

for the real face whenever something is shot. what is the real face

behind? face is changing and aging. sometime, the revealed is found

to be another mask,...

this is partially due to the incapability of focus at weak lighting with the pro70, partially due to the noise reduction process(consumer digicam has too much noise in midtone in such a light)

 

it recalls my exprience in the first and only half-marathon long time ago. although many peels around, but i were left as myself in the end.

a technique question: how did you manage to reduce the noise with C-2020? i suppose the exposure time is too long for such a consumer level camera.

 

yes, the background is photoshopped by changing the curve a bit. due to just running into photographing and darkroom (i like digital, which i can afford), i am bit excited with the possiblity.

however, i begin to agree with some reviewers that the manipulation on background is not neccessary. i really would like to hear opinions on the darkroom for a photo. what is the original meaning of taking a photo?
