First the base shot is well lit, very well setup. You thought about the little things like the recipe the peeler and masher. This is what caught my eye first.
Second, Your ranges of faces that you used on the potatoes are quite different and varied. This is what kept me looking at the shot for quite awhile.
In my opinion, you have showed a mastery of photography and Photoshop to bring a desired affect.
Great job guy! I hope you make it to the "Shot of the Week".

The reflections from the snow melting into the lake make a very interesting picture.

Of your 4 shots I like this one the best. It is a great look, well lit.

Great idea! Nice point of view is shown here.

Rainbows are very hard to capture. The shot works for me.

Nice Shot!

This is a good shot of the flower. If you crop it up on the flower a bit and try to cut out the other dead flowers you may have a more powerful shot.

I like the lighting, different colors that you have captured in this photo.

The train tracks and the mountains in the distance envoke a sense of travel.

Nice expression on the subjects face. Wish you had the top of his head but considering how hard this was to get I like the shot non the less.

Another great shot brought to us by Dan. The animal tracks lead you into seeing the sun over the mountains in the background.

Great idea, keep working on it if you can. I like the setup, colors and the thought that went behind this shot.
