When you go to the "Gallery" drop down menu and choose "Critique
Photos", Photo Net provides us with a view of photos that Photo Net
members recently requested a critique on. You have a comments window
and quick access to give Aesthetic and Originality ratings. The one
thing missing is the actual critique request. I believe that their
would be more use of the comments window if the critiquer could read
the contents of the critique request right on this page.

I have a canon a60. The average file size in high quality mode is
800k(jpeg). I open the file in photoshop make minor contrast,
saturation, and sharperning adjustments, and resave in the highest
jpeg setting in photoshop 5.5. The file size is now sometimes as
much as twice the original size. Where is this extra information
coming from. Is it degrading the quality of the photo? I want to
keep using jpeg because of the reduced file size compared to tiff.
What would be the proper procedure to maintain picture quality when
opening the original jpeg file, making adjustments in photoshop, and
resaving as a jpeg?
