  1. Francesc, I love the saturation in this shot as well as the gentle sloping foliage. However, I wonder if it would not strengthen the impact of the wonderful colors and details if the sky were cropped down about 30%? Just a suggestion. Nice shot!

  2. I love this shot!!! I wish i could take "people" shots like this... My favorite thing about the shot is the litte girl in the middle peering around her friend lookin gright at the camera. You might soften the sharpness of the front girl a little and sharpen the middle girl's stare... wow, great catch though!

Love the saturation. My only thought is that the background is too "in between."By that I mean that it is not sharp and not thrown out of focus enough... one or the other might make the shot pop more-- I don't know, just my thought.

    Mark,

I keep finding great shots and clicking on the photographer's portfolio, only to find that I am, again, looking at your photos... kudos for your great talent.

Excellent color saturation-- and no Velvia!

Hey, I love the long exposure, but the image looks liek it could have used a little longer to lighten up the surrounding area. This might be due to the scanner? I have the same scanner- did this darken the shot up? I love the movement of the water- nice.

    CLaire,

Good to see someone finally shooting yacht racing. If you are interested in continuing to shoot boats, you might loot at sharon green's ultimate sailing site: (http://www.ultimatesailing.com/cal_01.html) She uses alot of great compositions. Obviously, she also uses helocopters- which is a different game altogether... but, for example there is a great shot from the lee quarter (behind and down wind) when boats are reaching with spinnakers... I really like this shot in your portfolio. Keep the yachting pics coming.

  3. I like this shot, but agree with the previous comments. Additionally, I would like it even more if the three elements (coconut, sea, mountains and sky) were arrainged differently. The cocnut obscures the cliffs- maybe this is what you intended.
