hey Lou Ann, when correcting perspective in PS, a BIG tip is to turn on the GRID... try it!

yeah, I don't comment often, but I'm really drawn to this for some reason. The depth of field works great here (I'm actually surprised to see this from a Coolpix 4300), and it's just a sweet capture. What kind of dog is this?

thanks everyone. Francesco, unfortunately neither of those grapes grow well around here... although I'd prefer the Chianti ;-)

IR @ horton vineyard, near barboursville, virginia... comments welcome.

thanks for any comments... it was super dark in that theater.

thanks everyone... yes, the chair she's leaning on could be cloned out, but I just left it as-is. It's actually a bar-height chair & she's standing, leaning on a small rung of the back. A posing table would be more ideal, but I'm working w/ what I got. Gearoid, the hairlight was positioned a little off (hence her right hand being a little hot).. but I'm chalking it up to part of the learning process. ;)

started studying fine portraiture... here's the 1st studio attempt thus far where I
actually made it a point to pay attention to several details.. whatcha think?

looks good... although I'd crop the bottom off a bit (think 8x10 proportion).
this would benefit greatly from some soft focus effects... check out http://www.photoworkshop.com/registered/softwarecinema/misc_tutorials.html, & see the tutorial on the top by Kevin Ames.
