    Three year ago my newly brought 285 HV had problems with JackRabbit pack. By a stroke of luck I reverted the positions of the cable poles and solved the problem. I just made a cut at the plug so I can put it in the "wrong" way into the flash socket. I did not the know whether the cable or the flash was at fault but took the risk out of desperation. It worked.

    For some oriental subject (e.g. northen Chinese), I find the 50mm is the best portrait lens. Even the 85mm can make some people's face looks too flat. The conventional focal range of 85-135mm for portrait lens is most appropriate for people with relatively more prominent facial features, in my opionion.
