Hi.
Do the out-of-focus front petals draw the eye into the composition,
or distract (or neither)?
I have a similar shot here

Hi.
I would like to know how the composition of this image compares to
the one in the link below:
http://www.photo.net/photodb/photo?photo_id=2361920
Normally, I would prefer the tighter composition given in the link.
However, in this case I feel that the tighter composition (in the
link) takes the emphasis attention away from the bird and his song,
and puts it on the perch. What's your opinion?

it's an interesting pose, but he wasn't meditating at the time.

Hi.
A roadside fruit stand in east India. This was taken in the middle
of the day (~12pm) but luckily, the stand was in open shade.
Critiques are appeciated.

Hi. Thanks for the comments. No, I only made three shots of this scene, and this was my favorite of the three. Chilika lake is in east-India, and is known for its wintering bird population. My primary interest was bird photography, and I only took these pictures of the "people and culture" of the lake as an afterthrought. In hindsight, that was a bad case of tunnel vision of my part; I missed many good photo opportunities as a result.

Hi.
Thanks for the comments. Well, I replaced the small version of this pic with a larger version of the same picture. The background is natural. I believe that it is a grassy hill in the distance.

Hi Bryan.
Those two spots are "dust spots." They are a consequence of using a digital SLR with a dirty sensor. I could have masked the first spot easily in photoshop. The second one may have been trickier to clone out.

hi. the photo is cropped, roughly 20% on each the top and bottom and 15% on the left side
