I really like this idea. The exposure is good and the light on the ceiling boards is great. I would like to see a little more to the right of the door and a little less of the out-of-focus wall on the left.

Great tree, great color. Not the typical sunset silhouette. The only distraction is the fence post in the foreground.

The lighting is very interesting. I think the composition is cropped a little too close at the top

Not that it affects the picture, but this red tailed hawk is perched on a telephone cable, not a power line. (And for some reason the sky is lighter above the cable than below it.)

This is a very nice shot, but I think the little pile of rocks in the center at the very bottom of the frame is distracting. A minor crop could take care of it. I would also back off a little on the polarizer to keep the sky from being quite so black at the top of the frame.

Really great shot of the dragonfly. Unfortunately the background is a little distracting, especially the blue streak running vertically through the center of the frame. Could you have moved to the left slightly and elminated the blue streak? Also, I think a vertically framed shot may have worked better and not made the dragonfly look so "boxed in."

Is it possible that this was a "Change of Commnand" ceremony instead of a "Chain of Command" ceremony? The female officer in front looks like she is scratching her nose instead of saluting.

Nice idea. I would have backed up just a little to make it look like the wheel was definitely part of the picture. Also, would probably have cloned out the power pole at the left edge. It's tough to make an overcast sky look good in this kind of shot.

Great subject. Need to find a more interesting angle. Try to eliminate the street in the foreground. Maybe focus on a part of the train car from a closer position.

Very nice shot! The vertical orientation really makes it. Just doesn't look much like San Diego.

Nice color and exposure. The cloud makes the picture. Horizon appears tilted & utiliy pole is leaning to the left. Might have tried removing pole and wire in Photoshop. Maybe could have moved closer to the cactus and eliminated some of the plain dirt and rocks in the foreground.

Nice color in the foreground and nice sense of depth. The figure standing on the bluff provides a good sense of scale. The horizon appears badly tilted and the background looks a little overexposed. Could a different angle have hidden the buildings in the valley?

Any comments would be appreciated.

I'm trying to develop an appreciation for elegant simplicity vs. just
plain boring. Any comments on where this one falls on the scale
would be appreciated, along with any other general feedback.
