Any thoughts on this night panorama of the memorial? Do the ghosted
images of some of the people viewing the memorial cause distractions?
Thanks,
Quin

Thoughts? Should the small outcropping of the trees on the right edge
be cropped out?

Any thoughts? Is the moon distracting in respect to it's positioning?

Thanks for the comments....unfortunately, it's difficult to get this image right at sunset as Don suggested as the ship sails sunset cruises at night and typically returns after most of the color is gone. I'm not sure what you mean about having it fill more of the frame, unless you are suggesting to crop it tightly from the sides. This image had just a little bit of cropping of the foreground, but otherwise this is essentially a full frame shot.

Any thoughts on this long exposure image?? Are the boats to the left
border of the photo distracting?
thanks,

In honor of Lance's attempt at number 6. This was taken during the
warm-up laps prior to the NYC Cycling Championships. Any thoughts??

Once I realized it was a mannequin, it completely made the picture.

You can almost feel the heat....the motion in the flames really catches the eye.

That rock that he's about to hit can't be a very good thing :) Were you on dry ground for this shot?

interesting picture, but the litter in the lower right part of the walkway is a little distracting

The ray of light coming from the Eiffel Tower is a nice touch.

Not sure I could have gotten the reflection too much stronger, but I
like the feel of this. Wish she had her head up. Any thoughts?

Does the utility pole in the left side of the image create too much of
a distraction as the pole and it's reflection runs from the top border
of the image to the bottom border?? Unfortunately from where I was
shooting, there wasn't really any room to move to not get this effect
(I was on a dock that had several tall pilings for temporary docking
every couple of feet). I also took a shorter panorama that does not
go as far over, but I think it loses a little without the channel that
wraps around the fishing shack. Any thoughts would be greatly
appreciated.

In going back to touch it up a little bit more, I decreased the blue in the ice (about -10 or so - can't remember off the top of my head) which helped improve the ice. A graduated neutral density filter would have definitely helped. Thanks for the comments.

Nice job....did the eagle end up coming up with a fish?

This is part of the ice flow that has kept ferry service to New York
from the Jersey shore closed this past January. I liked the
combination of broken ice flows with the rays of the sun pouring
through the clouds. I'm not sure if the ice flows need to be
lightened a little bit more or not. Any suggestions?

I've tried this as a black and white, but think that the color image
may work a little bit better due to the greyish/silver paint job this
plane had....any thoughts?
