  1. Hi I've been using & scanning B&W 120 roll films for a while now with

an epson 2450 flatbed scanner... Now ive decided to venture into the

realms of color, but to keep with my monochromatic preference, I'd

like a color print film that is low in contrast and easy to scan (for

a scanner of moderate abilities such as epson 2450)...

  2. I don't think giving them money first is the wise thing to do, its degrading, ur not giving them money so u can shoot to ur hear's content, photography is a form of expression, u dont hav to give them anything out of feeling of guilt, i mean if u dont give money to the homeless normally then u shouldnt give them money when u take photos of them...
  3. Seeing how vague Rollei's official manual is on this, there has been

many useful info on the web regarding metz ttl operation with more

advanced Rollei models like 6008(i)/6003, however since on a 6001,

there is no builtin meter and no exposure compensation, how do I use

TTL for fill flash?? I understand one way of achieving this is to use

the knob on the SCA 356 adapter, but it only goes up to 400ISO so if

I want -1 flash compensation with a film faster than 400 im out of

luck? Or is it possible to use the partial output on metz flashes

(e.g. 40 MZ) so basically i use TTL normally but with a -1 stop in

power output set on the flash? however seeing the priniciples of TTL

flash, wouldnt reducing the power output of the flash simply prolong

the time it requires for the OTF sensor to receive enough light so at

the end 1:3 etc fill flash compensation still cannot be obtained?

  4. very graphic nature? what does it mean? first thing comes to mind with graphic is something thats quite contrasty, or contemporary with architectual elements, this for me isn't graphic (other than the fact that it's a photo so ipso facto its graphic)..

I dont like the crop of the face, sure its alrite, perhaps even cool to have the subject matter appear out of focus, but in this case, the closed eyes, cropped out face just dont look appealing... plus its negatively connotated in that it looks as though shes spitting into the glass..

  5. Hey Henk, its always good to see people experiment with colours and lighting for people photography... in this case it works quite well, except i find the purple hue in the sclera of the left eye very very very distracting... it makes the child look ill.... not a desirable effect i don think
  6. Hi ive got some newbie questions id like to ask about the 6001,

hopefully some nice guys out there may take the time to answer these

    trivial questions.

    1. From my understanding the 6001 doesn't have the full readout on

the finder compared with 6003/8 ones, however does it still show some

sign of correct/over/under-exposure (albeit with a limited display of

    info)??

    2. Does it have aperture priority?

    3. The interchangeable back allows mid-roll change, does that mean

that I can change the film in daylight?

    Thanks,

    Kevin.
