  1. In my psychology class at school we are taking all sorts of personal

inventory tests such as the Myers-briggs, LASSI, and Self-Directed

Search (http://www.self-directed-search.com), to give us an idea of

what careers we might be interested in pursuing. We were assigned to

interview a professional in one of the occupations that interests us

and came up on the Self-Directed Search. Some that came up for me

are: Photograph Retoucher, Photo Checker and Assembler, and Still

Photographer. Photography is a career that I have always thought

    about pursuing.

Since I don't know any professional photographers, and I know some of

the best hang out here at Photo.net, I decieded to come here for help.

These are the interview questions I have come up with:

1.What is your name and where do you work?

    2.What is your current title?

3.How long have you worked in this field?

4.How did you become interested in photography?

    5.Describe your typical workday.

6.What are the educational requirements for this field?

7.Besides a formal education, what other training or experiences

should I pursue to help me better prepare to work in this field?

8.What are the professional skills and personal characteristics you

possess that makes you successful in this field?

9.What are the characteristics, expectations or aspects of the job

that you like most? Like least?

10.What are the job prospects for new people entering this career

    field?

11.What are the opportunities for advancement once you have entered

    the field?

12.What skills and personal characteristics would you look for if you

were hiring a new college graduate for a job in this field?

13.What are some of the future challenges professionals in this field

will face and how can they best prepare to handle them?

If someone (or many people) would be so kind as to answer these

questions for me, I would be extremely greatful. You can email your

    response to me at adamdavis@unt.edu

    Thank You Very Much
