This image is one in a portfolio of guitar photographs.
Some of the images shot in extreme close-up reveal the industrial
design aspects of musical instruments -- a perspective not normally
visible to the lay music lover.

I'm not an expert on cricket, although I grew up in a cricket-crazy nation, but I can safely say that the term "cut" is very familiar to all cricket lovers.
The photograph itself is nice, but it's too static to be interesting. I would recommend playing with a little bit of (fake) Gaussian blur on the bat, and possibly adding some (fake) bokkeh to the background. I recognize that these suggestions are borderline cheesy -- but those are my initial thoughts in terms of how to add more "dynamism" to the image.
Keep up the good work. -

Michail:
Thank you for visiting my portfolio, and for your comments.
I understand your sentiment. In this case, I wanted to tell the "back story" of the photo shoot -- because the subject is very well known to a specific segment of viewers (i.e. fans of Karnatik or South Indian Classical Music), but may not be familiar to many other viewers, especially those not acquainted with India.
Regards,Kartik
