  1. The result from a little high key testing. I corrected the camera-

measured exposure up by 3 stops in order to get the wallpaper as

close to reality as possible. I kinda like the result. What do you

    think about it?

  2. Well, it wasn't actually by accident. ;-)

I do all of my work with The GIMP and all that I did was Filters->Blur->Motion Blur->Zoom, and playing around with the parameters. Some tonal adjustments to get the colors right and presto.

In the meantime, I have ordered a 60cm x 40cm (24x16 in.) print of it and I'm totally stunned by the sharpness that's possible with the PhotoCD's resolution.

  3. This staircase leading up to the bridgehead was surrounded by almost

    half a dozen traffic signs.

I put the camera on my tripod at about 3 ft., as close as possible to

the subject and zoomed out to maximum wide angle to get a shot without

any disturbing traffic signs. In post-processing I then corrected the

really badly converging vertical lines simply on-screen by adding a

    fair amount of perspective distortion.

What do you think about the result, and about this kind of

    manipulations in general?
