  1. I was in Toronto for my Int MBA module and had to choose from two

weekend spots, and Niagara Falls was one of it. I ended up choosing

it, as I always loved waterfalls. The weather, even in the middle of

the summer, is very unpredictable, during the whole road trip the sky

was really overcast and we got Niagara it was raining. But we did

still went for a walk under the rain. As soon as we got close to the

waterfalls God gave us a small whole in the clouds letting the sun

show for about 20-30 minutes. Enough time to make some good rainbow

shots. And I was lucky to get the "Maid of the Mist" getting very

close to the waterfall... Hope you enjoy the photograph as much as I did.

  2. No Raj, I don't develop them myself... I'm not that professional to do it. I end up paying for the development in a third part company. They usually do a very good work developing my photographs.

Thanks for stopping by and giving your comments.

Well, when you have a superb Macro and you forget it at home... You

end up finding perfect places for Macro photographing... I almost got

a stroke and I look into my camera beg I found out I forgot my nature

lens (EF Macro 100mm 1:2.8) at home. But I still think I did a good

job with my EF 28-135mm 1:3.5-5.6 IS USM, even though I know many

photographers who dislike this lens (I really don't know why). Hope

you enjoy my workaround... Take care.

Great photo! Too bad the photo is too small, otherwise it would be as my desktop for, at least, a week! I love the composition and the contrast you achieved is perfect!! Congratulations!

I love the word WOW and it describes exactly what I felt when looking at your shot for the first time. The color tones (tending for a dark rose) and the composition with the man walking for his fishing is perfect. Great catch. I took a look at your portfolio and you have more amazing photographies, congratulations!!

Hello Ken, I like the way you composed your photo here. It is a very sharp tulip photo and the black space gave a dramatic feeling to the shot. A loneliness and still proud posture showing the flower didn't get depressed by its situation. Excellent result, congratulations!! Later pass by and check my version of the tulips on my portfolio.

It's incredible how a simple idea can have different results in hands of those who really pay attention in the details. The light and the right composition, created a very pleasant result to the spectator (in this case: me). I don't see a bad execution on the dark shadow bellow the main garlic, for me it is not a distraction at all. Congratulations!!

I have to agree with Bella, you achieved a very unique perspective, transforming what we all see in major galleries, into something new and extremely well executed. Congratulations on your achievement!!

Who said a small and compact camera cannot produce good results. This

photo was taken with my old Canon PowerShot S40 (4MP). Hope you enjoy

it as much as I did.

  3. Just got my lens back from the shop after a long fungus cleaning

process... The quality at 300mm is not the best, but I still believe I

achieved a good result. What do you think of the photo and the lens?

    I'm No Rat!!

Some people look at me as a plague, some call me a flying and dirtyrodent. But besides shitting in public places, I'm also a very elegantbird, with very beautiful feathers.

Just got my lens back from the shop for cleaning some fungus... So fareverything is looking great!!

  4. Why we see so many photos of the Golden Gate, when the Bay Bridge is

also so beautiful. Bay Bridge is strategic placed to have a very nice

background of the city of SFran. I hope you all enjoy this picture as

I do... Thank you for your comments!!

    Running Waters

It's so hard to find a good composition and sometimes the better spotis on the running water. As it rained a lot for days prior to thisshooting, the water was not that friendly and I don't have a waterproof equipment. But I still think a good shot was achieved here. Whatdo you think?

P.S.-> A friend lost a very expensive equipment under the samecircumstances, reason why I don't like taking too much risks.

    Aaron,

I love your composition and the exposure you achieved on your shot. Perfect DOF and also the exposure created the right movement to the river.

    Very good, congratulations!!

    Hmmm.

Not happy by loosing part of his arm, now he wants to loose part of his leg. There are people who never learn!! You capture a very good moment here, congratulations!!
  5. This folder has my first experiments with studio photography. I would

like to gets some comments on the results. This is a simple example of

what you can achieve with the right light. Hope you like it...

  6. There are two ways of capturing someones attention to a single in a

photograph. Or by over/under-exposing certain areas or even bluring

it. To achieve the right blur directly through the lens I would have

to use a macro and get so close that probably would affect the light,

creating shadows. In this scenario I opt for using a digital blur, but

it sometimes gets devaluated during a critique... Whats your opinion

    on this subject?
