I asked on another site's forum what they thought of this pic and

only one other person responded - to the effect that the shadows

didn't help.

This being one side of a narrow canyon the floor of which never sees

the sun, it's doubtful all the shadows could've been illuminated

later in the day or season. still, it hadn't occurred to me that it

might be a distraction. i thought that perhaps the odd angle or too

much sky might be more offputting.

any more opinions greatly welcome!
