Taken near Kebler Pass, Colorado. Evening light on an aspen grove.

Barbara, thanks for the compliment. This is actually pretty close to Denver. It is up Butler Gulch just past Empire and near the Hendersen Mine. A couple of miles up the trail there is a long waterfall a bit before you get above treeline. It's visable from the trail. A very pretty hike.

I had hoped for a sunset lighting up this mountain range, but only
got a slint of light before the clouds set in. Taken at Mayflower
Gulch in Colorado.

Wasn't sure which category this fit into, but I'll give it a go here.
This old truck was up a 4-wheel drive road and just didn't make it
back down.

These yellow flowers are commonly known as orange sneezeweed
recognized by their droopy yellow petals. Taken in an area of the
Colorado San Juan mountains.

Lovely composition with a great mood. Your rendition of IR is very nice. Great photo!

Dave, thanks for the comments. I do have a landscape oriented version of this, but it required less of the blue sky and clouds. A trade off I guess.

This old truck is a relic from the '50's uranium mining era in the San
Rafael Swell of Utah. On the near-by hillsides are little exploration
or mining holes. I'm told that most of these uranium miners died an
early death from exposure to the radioactive rocks they moiled among.

Taken in the Colorado foothills with the moon setting just at sunrise.

These ferns are a bit rare in the areas I visit and it was quite fun
seeing them and trying to compose a good photo. Comments and rating

There was a time before McMansions when buildings seemed to fit with
their surroundings a little better. Comments and ratings appreciated.

This old farmhouse is located near the Pawnee National Grasslands.

I think the upper sky could use a few tweeks. It just seem too bright and some of the clouds look a little blown out. However, this remains a beautiful photo of a very nice piece of scenery.
