I am quite happy with this photo. What do you think?

Shortly before July 4th that year I learned that to make interesting

fireworks photos you have to include some foreground; or some other

elements than just the pretty colors, so I tried to do that.

It's handheld actually, but fairly wideangle. The picture is a bit soft in the original resolution from the D1x.

It was around 8 in the morning on the way home from new years eve in Copenhagen. :-)

Sometimes the background of a dark nigth can work as a "poor mans

studio". :-)
