1.
I have the 882. I recently purchased a Quantum Turbo battery and then got the quantum turbo cord CH. It is not supposed to work for the 882, but I figured what the hell.....well in short it does flash the 882. I have two 882's and will try it once I get the Quantum QT-48 dual cord which allows two flashes to be fired by the Turbo.

  2. Over my 40 plus years of photography, wow has it been that long???, I have found that scratches on the front element are much worse to look at than having any impact on the final picture. Where I have found scratches to be extremely bad is on the rear element. Any damage there does show up. However, in this situation, it is more a matter of getting what you paid for, if the auction states glass is clean, then you should return it. However, many of these auctions do state as-is, and if it does, then you may have no option. Take care.
  3. I have also found that in some instances where I needed the moon to be a little larger in the frame, I attach a teleconverter to the 250MM lens and I get what I think is just the right size. Additionally with any of the Hasselblad lenses I can easily crop the picture in Photoshop, until I get just what I am looking for.

    Have a great Holiday Season.

  4. For my money I would go with the 38mm Biogon. That lens has never failed me and it is excellent performer. It is also quite light when I have to carry it around. When I put a 40 on my CM with back and prism it was a pretty heavy package.
  5. Thanks for your input. Bogen wants $100 for each pack to change out the broken base, plus shipping and handling both ways. I guess I will look for a case to put them in so I can carry them. In the meantime I'll use my trusty Norman flashes that have been with me for years and years. Thanks again.
  6. Yes, I can tape it up. But after spending over $900 for each of these kits, I expected them to hold up more than one year. I have light useage on them, in fact one of the flashes looks almost new. It would appear that the plastic is too thin where the straps are anchored for such a heavy pack.
  7. Hello,

I have two batterypacks purchased with my 60CT-4 flashes. Both have cracked

and pieces have fallen off where the strap hinges are at the top side of the

case. You can actually look inside the case! Metz said they have not heard of

this problem before. I cannot use the strap because there is nowhere to hook

it anymore. Anyone else seen this sort of problem? Thanks.

  8. Hello, just curious all the comments using a ttl flash is better. If I am not mistaken the 60's are ttl with an SCA adapter. The adapters are cheap enough and available on Ebay and from KEH. So with the 60's you have the option of using manual, auto or ttl flash depending on your needs. I have both two 60's and a 45 and have found them to be exceptional flash units.

    Take care.
