I tried several variations for the frame; this one seems to fit best.
What do you think about it?
-
Do you think a tighter cropping will work better?
Thanks,
-
I tried the same thing and I think you're right. The photograph does become better.
Thanks.

What do you think about the brightness? Should it be increased a bit?
-
Please see the photo at http://www.vioimaging.com/landscapes/235-3527-blue-day.htm
I don't know what's happening with the photo.net submission system, but the jpg file is recompressed to 18k, even if the original had well under the recomended 100k limit...

Comments welcome.

Thanks for feedback.

Evidently the subject here is "the color". I'm just puzzled about the
cropping: should I give it a more landscape format?
-
Please rate, thanks.

Thank you for comments and nice words.
About the digital sensor: I was reading the other day about it's physics and I wasn't so surprised to find out that the color of one pixel in the final image is obtain by interpolating the information of several adiacent cells from the sensor. So the digital processing takes place right at the moment you take the picture. I don't know if the interpolation losses information, but I would imagine so. There is a new chip coming out (Foveon?) that will have 3 layers of photo cells, and no interpolation will be neccessary.

I didn't have the flash with me, so I've got no detail in the palm
tree. Is it acceptable?
-
I used two exposures to make the final image, at 2 stops difference.
Is the luminosity of the buildings properly chosen? Do you feel they
need more detail (3 stops from sky) or maybe they are too bright (1
stop from sky)?
-
Any thoughts?
-
I know the subject is not very original, but I'm looking at it as an
abstract composition.
-
What do you think about the arrangement of the elements in the frame?
-
Thanks, Chris. I'm inclined lately towards subtle colors and moods and not so much towards strong statements. I'm only sorry that I cannot enlarge them enough to have a fully experience later...

Thanks for feedback.

Interesting play of colours. I think the image would be more balanced with the texture stripes in the background mirrored.
-
Yes, it's a beautiful image. Reminds me of the colds days, when our windows were frosted... Now, living in Florida, that's only a memory.
-
I tried to capture here the feeling of peace this place has at dusk.
What do you think about the composition and exposure?
-
Loti, ma bucur ca esti si tu pe aici. Poate pui si tu cateva fotografii...
-
Thank you.

I feel that the lack of sharpness works in this case, giving an
overall feeling of a painting. What's you feeling?

Thank you all for taking the time to comment on the shot! I had this in mind for some time before I had the chance to shot it.
My intention was to say "Stop for a second and notice the beauty of nature, right here in the city!"
I included the poll to accentuate the perspective and the spatial depth. Without it, seems that something is missing from the frame...
