Alan, thanks for your comments. The rich hue of blue is the reflection of a clear blue sky. I don't have the exact details on hand, but it's probably something like ISO 100, 1/125 second and F5.6. The digital camera provides great depth of field, making everything appear in focus. I exposed for the bright area at the top, so the bottom half is darker, making it seem richer. I generally do make standard adjustments on the computer, so a little saturation may have been added in this case.

Randy, I appreciate your nice comments. The grainy look is a technical minus for this photo. Also, the frame above his head is an aesthetic minus -- I considered taking the frame out with Photoshop. I really like the moment, however.

These are water lillies in a pond. I think they're called "bullhead water lillies". I'll revise the title to indicate the subject.

Steve, lightness/darkness depends so much on how the monitor is set, but the photo would likely be better a half-stop lighter. You're right -- the title stinks! I rushed to get a bunch of photos up & didn't write proper titles. When I have a chance, I'll put in more descriptive titles.
