Great sources and advise - many thanks. I've also had a heap of fun playing with different ideas - and a happy punter too.

I've been asked to create a screensaver of 10 images. A quick head
scratch and I would imagine that I size and res the images
appropriatly in PS, save them to CD and then ask the reciprient to
copy them to a directory. He/she would then adjust their desktop
screensaver options to use that particular directory. On second head
scratch - is there a program that can construct the scrensaver and
protect the images from unauthorised use?
Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks Lyle that's the sort of effect I'm after. I can now add a couple of planets and I'll have the entire universe to myself :) I've been using PS for "pure" photo work up to now and a little reluctant to add effects. Time to change with the tides. Thanks again for your help.

stars of varying sizes, colours and intensities.
Any help would be appreciated.

Photoshop Notebooks - Mac vs PC with a twist
in The Digital Darkroom: Process, Technique & Printing

Ian,
I was about to pose a similar question.
Yesterday I had a quick look over a photogs shoulder at his notebook and was stunned to see quality of images better than my PC.
I have always assumed I would replace my photoshop workhorse with another PC with more RAM etc, but this has made me think twice as the portability (working night shift and accomplishing a load of editing during quiet times)would be brilliant.
I now wish I'd had more time to chat to him and find out what he was using, but the answer may yet be here.
Cheers
Michael
