Yes it is really Fuji 400 X-tra. It was scanned from the print and colors are exactly the same - no digital saturation. I have noticed that this film is very applicable for taking photos on concerts with strong coloured lights. Especially the red colour is showed in very spectacular way. This shot is filled by flash slightly. ... I think I know what you mean.
Thanks for comments.

Yes, you are right. Sometimes the contrast is very high and shooting is fairly impossible, especially when the sun is leaking to the gorges.
Thanks for all comments.

Taken in the national park Slovak Paradise (eastern part of
Slovakia). There is a lot of fascinating gorges with waterfalls. This
photo is from gorge Velky Sokol. Tripod was used. Any comments and
ratings are welcome.

Do you know and like Czech Beer? This is my favorite mark of beer -
Gambrinus from Plzen. The original Czech name of this photo
is "Gambrinus macro blues" ;-).

Robin Loxly: To neni zrovna ceske jmeno ;-)
Fabian: The photo wasn't taken in the middle of the forest - I had no ladder with me ;-). It is the edge of the forest on the picture, taken from the meadow about 15 meters from the first tree. I wanted to take some sunrise snapshots this day, but the scenery wasn't too spectacular, and then I noticed the spots of sunlights on the trees in the forest behind me...

I don't remember the focal length exactly, I think it was about 70mm. I had only a little time to take this photo, because the sun was shining in this way for a moment only - so I took just one photo with those "orangish splotches".

for your comment Elaine. The photo was taken on the meadow early in the morning. It was desaturated and coloured digitally, as I write in technical details. Original color was green of course, but I didn't like it - so I desaturated the picture and when I tried various colors to colour the obtained B&W photo I found that this hue of dark blue was the best. I didn't try to simulate moonlight, but you are right - it looks like moonlight and maybe this is the reason I took to this hue for the first look.

Anton, sorry for belated answer, but I was out of internet for a some time.
Yes, this format was obtained by cropping the picture from down.

I am not sure if using a split neutral dencity filter would be best solution in this case. This photo is based on the contrast between strong backlight and darker foreground. Using this filter might cause decreasing this contrast.
Thanks for comments.

Thanks a lot for all comments and ratings. I am pleased that this photo was successful here. I had luck with the light conditions. I tried to take some pictures from Plitvice National Park last year again. But the light was too contrast to obtain photo like this.

My older photo. It was taken in 1989 on my big trip around the USA. I
was cropped from down side to obtain this panoramic view.
