This was a last minute shot. I was excited when I took it as I could see the

    wonderful shadows were cool!

. . .actually, this photograph was take during the day!  That is why I call it a manipulation.  I created the atmosphere around him to do just that, isolate him.  He was the focus.  I need to find the original and post it.

  1. I first saw this from a distance and thought, "what the heck?" I came back

the next day with a camera and took several shots. I picked this one,

because it seemed to give the viewer a first impression that turns out not to

be the case. I appreciate your comments.

A lovely lady captured perfectly.  Very well done indeed.  I love the composition and the high key effect is applied to perfect effect.

  2. No, I didn't consider it at all and here is why.  There are lines of all kinds, some connected like the buildings and some not so much.  Take for example the vehicles.  There are some in the reflection and some in the actual foreground, yet they all seem to be heading in the same direction when in fact they are not.  The lines on the streets do the same.  The street plays a big part in this image.

Thanks for your constructive comments,  they are appreciated.

  3. I was struck by this scene. I was attracted to the lines and reflections of

lines. I kept going back to this location and looking for different angles until

I settled on this one. What do you think?

Your model is stunningly beautiful. Might I suggest a bit of fill light for her face. Perhaps a reflector (white poster board works) to bounce some natural light on to her face. The same can be accomplished with a little fill flash, but I prefer natural light. You have take a lovely series of photos with this young lady. Congrats.

It flows wonderfully!. From the waves in her hair to the stairs and the folds, especially on her shoulders and breast! Wonderful BRAVO!

If I might be so bold, the image is off balance. However, everything is there for an image that would be more striking with less. You have a perfect model, lovely lighting, background and sharp lens. I suggest a crop to exclude distractions. that said, I see a wonderful photo of a beautiful woman.

I have to agree with your characterization of this young lad. This image jumps out at you, not just with the colors, but with the skin tone and his expression. Very well done!
