Its the scans. I tried tweaking the levels in photoshop, but was unsuccessful. The original print has tons more detail with the jars seperated from the background.

was exploring light and shadow while practicing the Zone system for a

class.

light and shadow. It was taken at St. Ignatius Chapel on Seattle

University's campus.
