In Balboa Park, kids waiting for the exhibits to open watch the koi in

the lily pond.

Such a beautiful day! San Diego weather is among the best in the

world...and the Point loma lighthouse creates an interesting backdrop.

That's a good point Bernd. It's funny you compare it to a baby photo...I guess in a way it is ;-) But since it's a limited number of pics I have with the camera, and I think it shows a good range of contrasts and colors, I am more interested in how I can improve technically. I agree and understand the content and composition are simple and not very interesting. I'll do better with future posts. Thanks for the comments.

With my new camera, I was at the beach taking nature photo's...this

nice heron sat for me while I took it's picture. But, getting ready

to head out, I took this photo of my jeep - and fell in love with my

car all over again.

 

It's nothing fancy, but I was very pleased with the colors. The sky

is a bit odd though. When printed, it's a little to light.

I'm interested in getting some feedback on my pictures. I've just

begun the adventure of taking photographs instead of snapshots.

 

Thanks for you comments and advice. The above was taken with a Canon

Powershot G1, no digital editing (however, I think some color

balancing would greatly improve the photo). Settings for picture:

Shooting Mode - Program AE, 1/50, Aperature 2.5, ISO 100, no flash,

Macro Mode.

I like the picture. Interesting Composition. Draws the eye. I'm not sure I would have got the content without the subtitle though.
