I don't like the dark mornings, but I look forward to getting out and
taking more like this in the coming months!

Cool idea! Top marks for originality!

I think it would be more effective if you were on the pier with water in the foreground. You could argue that the pier frames the scene to some extent, but my preference would be water. Any chance to go back and shoot it again?

Unfortunately I only had one night in Paris, so I was at the Eiffel
tower for the blue hour. I still like the reflection here and will
get here a little earlier if I am in Paris again in the summer.

What do you think?

You have some excellent portraits in your portfolio Byron, but this one does'nt work for me. I gave you FOUR for orginality, but to me the flare does not add to the aesthetics!! I still can't see what's wrong with this Chinatown picture - it's a bit travel guide/brochure style, but I don't think it's that bad!

I had been looking for this type of shot for a while and while away
for the weekend though I had blown it as I had forgotten a neutral
gray filter. I also could'nt find a location with anything else as a
focal point. Luckily, the weather got a little cloudy giving me a low
enough light level and a moody sky. I think it works, even with the
forbidden central horizon?

It's a shame I could'nt find a smaller frame, but there you go.

I took this from the Brooklyn Bridge with a long lens - it is a
perspective on one of the sights of New York that I had not expected
to find.

If I lived in New York, you would be able to find me here often. The
place is stunning, do not miss it if you are visiting.

On visiting the cathedral of St. John the Divine in Harlem, we came
across a bus that had caught fire! The look on the face of the little
boy is the only thing that made me shoot a few frames.

Taken at the end of the runway of Tegel airport in Berlin.

Jennifer, Thanks for the feedback, although it's a bit heavy to read on a Sunday morning!
I do not make a living out of photography, so actually I can shoot when and what I like, which is the beauty of being an amateur. Sure I dream of making a living out of a hobby, but there is always the fear that it then also becomes just a job. Helping people or shooting to please other people is a nice idea, maybe something for me for the future.
I like to hear the feedback of other people, which is why I post my pictures here, and if others like the images, that makes me happy.
To be famous is not one of my aspirations (when I am alive or dead), so if pictures pile up or get thrown out, so be it. At least I got enjoyment out of taking the pictures and maybe it kept me a little saner, or at the very least, I got some fresh air, met other people and saw some nice places.

Cold work!

Thanks for any feedback.

It was -12 when I set out to get this!
Any comments/ratings most welcome, Thanks.

Pulling off the road to take this meant I nearly got stuck!

I would love to hear any comments...............

Quality or Cheesy?
I had been looking for this shot for a while, but can't decidewhether I've nailed it or whether it just looks like a cheesy calendar page?
Thanks for any feedback,
Steve
