Whilst I agree with Peter that the pose is a little uncomfortable but I can visuallise the potential of this half face model, you requested suggestion on crop and can i boldly take this one with some very rough cloning :)

Nice form and tone, well composed. I like this simplistic image !

What a lovely capture of live expression ! It would even be more appealing if the image is slightly sharper.

Hi, I got this interesting effect from the lens , there is no other manipulation.
I don't know whether you are familiar with a special type of lens called "mirror lens" sometime it is called "bubble lens" - it is short and light, for instance, this is a 250mm lenx but it looks like a very short 50mm lens.
One of the special effect is the blurry effect for the out of focal point subject - e.g. the background. Another effect (not in the present case) is for those light reflecsive point that is out of focus e.g. sprayed droplets in the flower bed. large bubbling effect will result.
Hope this answer your question, if you need further elaboration, please email me. Thanks for stopping by.

I like the idea, overall effect is good. I would however prefer this subject (in silloute) more sharp.

Annual flower exhibitions taken place in Voctoria Park. Thanks for any
comment.

Thanks Ben for the encouraging remarks. I think the problem with this shot is the bit too harsh lighting. Over-sharpen, may be and indeed I have a general tendency to do 70 percent unsharpmask to all images.. for this one it may not be too suitable taking into account of the contrast.
Thanks again for your comment.

Tremendous backlighting effect, I particularly like the lines casted by his back and guitar. Your composition really works for this music enthusiatic man !

What a happy man you have caught, it would been even more impactful if taken at a lower angel so that you get a plain bacground with a little bit of the sea front showing the environment.

It is Burmese customs for Monks to seek food/contributions from their
neigboring inhabitants. This is different from "begging" and they are
highly respected. Comments are welcome.

Very graphic and nicely composed. The inclusion of a large piece of white space is a big plus to this impactful image. I wonder if it is possible to take the shot from an even higher angle and think the graphic effect is even stronger that way.

That's very romantic for the pair (I hope they are :) I don't know whether you could get the snow more white if this had been given one stop more ? It is a precious moment to get them looking at the same subject and it is good that you find an appropriate framing for their eye-sights.
BTW, your folder of Sweden Faces are very attractive and unique. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks Ben, I have taken quite a number of shots from this location but none seem too satisfactory. I was trying to catch those beaming light but unfortunately they were not to dramatic and somehow when I got those dramatic ones, the herding crowd was not in good form. Ben, lots more efforts from me :) Thanks for stopping by again.

Very moody scene giving a sense of tranquility. I particularly like the slight raise of ripple in the foreground which contrasted well with the foggy background.

Cathy, I love this one, just look at that pair of waterly eyes :) The white facial also pops up distinctly from the general reddish background.

I like the tone, yes colour is fine and the pattern is lovely.

Very refreshing, i just hope more of these kind of images coming up on the first ten pages. There are problem of DOF but I like the pattern and tone a lot !

Very nice indeed. I like the way you compose the shot from front right to the far end, it brings out life the the place and I could hardly think of this kind of scene in France !
Oh sorry, i now read it taken in Inle .. perhaps you could care to amend the details in the photo. Lovely scene !

Ian, your landscape work is so fancinating, I like the framing of this one, simple yet so colourful.
