There are so many wonderful elements to this image. I see it as a powerful illustration of holding family or generations in your hand. Aesthetically, I wish the top of the photograph hadn't been left out. My favorite details are the jewelry (in it I read prosperity), the small tears on the photograph, which have all kinds of interpretations, and the manicured hands. The latter is an important detail if you are going to create an image like this, because rough callused hands say something entirely different. Congratulations on a wonderful image!

Great job, I really like the expression of this image.. I see you have Sony 717, I have the Sony 707 and have been trying to do artistic nudes, but I have a problem with how black skin looks in the picture (it turn orange). How are you enjoying your 717?

Nice shot, I like the concept and what the picture is saying.

That was great!! I can't stop laughing:-) after a stressful day, this really put a smile on my face :-) however it that were true, there would be meters running after people down the street to get them to pay!!! Parking in NY sucks!!!

I know the photo is dark, but I personally like the overall picture.. It means so much to me. My grandmother was sitting just on the right side of the picture where she died 4 years ago. I named the title because I really dis liked him when I was a child. I'm quite glad his face came out dark.

Maurice, this is an excellent shot. Was it by chance that you got the woman walking by and the man with his hands on his privates, or did you set this up.. Either way the message is soooo very clear. GREAT work!

Taken in the village of New York during the rainy days in October.
Used a Cannon AE-1 Program, Ilford 400. Picked this shot because of
the leaning meter.

Great pictures, thanks for your comments as well. I'd just suggest you add a little more contrast to the images, they seem a little grayed out...

Thank you for the lovely comments, you're right about taking the text out of the frame, but then I'd loose all of your comments. Your comments about this piece is right on target, and for me it deals with battles I have with want I want from life and how sometimes it just seems so hard. (Photography).
