Got this one from a mountain top in Ushuaia, Argentina. The water

is the Beagle Channel with the Chilean Andes in the background.

I don't think you left to much foliage. The branch does a good job of leading the eye into the actual rosebud. The focus is a bit off though, which detracts from that effect.

The composition gives an interesting picture. You're right, I think that the contrast from a bright sky would definitely have improved the picture.

This is a very striking portrait. Definitely the best of the series.

I took a number of shots of this scene, and this is the one that

seems to work the best. The picture was taken on the Ponte Vecchio

in Florence. Bikes are ubiquitous in Florence, and people use them

all over the city. This roaming guitarist set up shop in the perfect

position to be framed by the handlebars of the bike. Let me know

what you think!

Taken in Barcelona, Spain. Does this picture need cropping? I'm

afraid that the black vertical bars are somewhat distracting, but I

like the framing and leading line provided for by the diagonal rails.

I took this shot of a sunset from a boat on the Hudson. The backlit

Statue of Liberty acts as a frame and as a secondary subject on the

right of this picture.

beautiful composition. The reflections give this picture an almost surreal quality.

Nice color contrast and texture!

I took this picture during an annual street music festival in Lyon,

France. I'm sonewhat unhappy with what the scanner did to the colors

in the picture. At some point I'll rescan the picture/play around

with photoshop, but for now I'll throw it out here.

The color in this photo really got quite mangled by the scanning process. The original print is much lighter, and doesn't have the dark purplish tones that this has. When I have time, I'll try and rescan the picture, and see if I can get something better.

I took this picture on a recent trip to Spain. We were staying with

some monks in a small town outside of Granada, and the monks kept

some livestock around to help pay bills. As usual, comments are

always appreciated.
