A fellow photographer brought this to my attention. In short, legislation has

been proposed by the NYC Council to make it a requirement for wedding

photographers to have a license. I can't see any reason for this other than to

generate revenue. The amount is minimal ($125/year), but in principle I think

it's a ridiculous requirement! What if someone hires a photographer from across

the country? Or has a friend/relative from another country that is shooting

their wedding?

I'm just getting into fashion photography and I'm working with a model

TFP. I'm looking for ideas of where to shoot in NYC, both indoor and

outdoor. Obviously Central Park is always a good start, but it's

weather dependent. The model would also need a place to change

outfits. Any suggestions?
