This is a striking image, but the already pointed out shortcomings are significant distractions. The partially visible pattern on the chest is what draws my eye the most. Perhaps if there are additional frames with more detail there the left side of the image can be photoshopped. The mirror is less of an issue IMHO.
Of course it's just persoanl preference, but I find "breakup" to be better executed.

Best image in this folder! I like that you've used more contrast than the other similar images. Well done!

I like the lighting in this image (and throughout most of the portfolio), which is key to the wonderful detail. The subject feels static though, lacking interaction with the environment.

Well executed and nicely colorful!

Great work! The detail and tones work well for the subject. I'm especialy drawn to the far right image where the symetry is breaking up.

Excellent work. The strong lighting, the dust, the haze in the distance all combine to give this an illustration work from a distance. Great shot!

I love the exageration of height from the persepective and the curvature. Very well done!
-
Excellent shot, wonderfully composed with great range of tones and contrast.

I'm a bit of a sucker for water photos so my eye stops on them everytime. I like the light field background in this shot more than the darker background in some of the others and, although they don't get as many ratings, I find the orbs in the air quite attractive. Nice work!

Nice B&W from a D60. I like the image; the composition of the sbject and exposure are good, but the background is cluttered and distracts from the image IMHO.

Quite playful. Well done!

Fun and VERY moody. Well done!

Nice timing! A little better use of depth of field and framing to avoid cropping part of both subjects bodies would make this a great shot.

Excellent work! The title didn't immediately make sense until I remembered the statue in the square - I guess it's been far to long since I visited London. The only distraction I find in the image is the light standard in the background that has a little bit of a sharp edge to it - and which I might soften in PS. Even that is a minor point in a wonderful image.

IMHO easily the best in your portfolio. Truly a great shot that captures the person and is technically well done as well.

A subject with some real potential but I don't think you've captured it as well as you did in "Auld Jock" and "Cupid's Casualty." The depth of field seems too deep since the background adds nothing to the image and the chains near the head distract me. This is still an interesting image but I think some of your other shots are better.

Interesting shot that reminds me of work from the 20's and 30's. Good tonal range. The perpsective seems a little too low, but that's a subject of personal taste. Otherwise I like this image.
Welcome to PN.

Nice choice of lighting on the model; it works well with the composition.

Nicely captures the seasonal colors of the foliage. The only distraction IMHO is the color of the sky, which seems ominous. It's still a wonderful image, though. Nice work!

Easily my favorite shot of yours! The rays of light and the forms of the dancers are great.

Very moody image that draws the eye in. The only critique I can make would be that a person or dog in the distance might have held attention a little longer, but that's just my opinion. Nice work!

What the goldfish sees at a college fraternity initiation?
Wonderfully creative idea. Nice work!

I've always admired Dr. Edgerton's work and I'm convinced he'd LOVE this shot. Thanks for sharing data on the type of strobe used. I've got a few old Strobotacs I use and at 40 years old they still work great.
Also, I read your post on your trigger. Very nice work (especially the quick division). However, I can't help wondering if you couldn't place a third sensor exactly where you want the object in the photo during setup and calculate delay directly rather than through trial and error. Just a thought.
Brilliant work, Bert
