My first attempt at some macro work with my Cool Pix. Comments
please.

to see a little more color in the sky.. The split ND might have helped, maybe a polarizer. Too bad you didn't use Velvia...might have brought ou the color in the sky. Regardless...BEAUTIFUL image.

Appreciate the comments. I too think the cropping is strange, but then again the whole thing seems so surreal.

I took this image while visiting "Ground Hero's" in NYC. Comments
appreciated.

does the flag need to be politicized? I was acting as a photojournalist recording an event of local interest. The title of my image is the only thing that wreaks of politics. God Bless America...there, now is that political enough? Look at my other images..don't judge me by one (very poor image) in my personal opinion.

Just an image from an airshow. You political science background has gone to your head, I think the image is creative, and in no means was meant as political propoganda. As for your images...for example...Sacco & Vanzetti commermorative mural..anyone can take an picture of someone else's work...where is the creativity? As a professor, your spelling is pretty bad too.

Jerry:
Thanks for your comments. The first rule of concert photography is NEVER, EVER use a flash, cause they won't allow you too! I used a Nikon 80-200 f/2.8, with Agfa VSITA 800 shot at f4 1/125th.

Should I crop this image a little more?

of the bricks are what I ifnd appealing. I like the white windows, it adds a dimension of inbalance that I like. How did you get the "digital" frame around your image?
-
I realy like the image. The washed out wrist watch bothers me however. I might try and crop it, or blacken it out in PS. The focus looks real sharp.

Lighting...I assume you used flash? I like your composition as well.

But thanks Paul for your comments. Utilizing the rule of thirds, I like the way the image is cropped. In fact, I did crop it, and it is a panormaic view, if you look closely enough you will be able to see the way the image is cropped. I like the sky as well, in fact, the house and trees are within the upper one third.
