I am learning to work with studio flashes, any comments or suggestion
are welcomed and appreciated.
The shot above was done using 150ws flash with Soft Box and a small
slave 60ws

Done from a color negative. My goal was for the image to appear to
have been taken around the time the ship was build, 1910. I scan this
using a Leafscan 45 and used PS CS2 to convert to BW and add sepia to
it.
Comments and crtitques are welcomed.
Thanks for looking.

Yes it was taken outside. Thanks
-
This wouild be very nice in BW also I believe
-
To me the lighting seems a little flat
-
Excellent! I love the use of BW here. I know it is part of the bridge, however I find the light pole in the upper left hand corner a bit distracting. Still an excellent capture...

NJice shot, if the foreground and building was a tad brighter I think it would make the shot better. Still I like it
-
Would be interesting also in BW
-
Would be nice to see in BW also.

These horses has something to say. This is good shot.
-
I like this, a less tighter crop would have made a little better and a BW version would be nice also.
-
try reducing file size so we can view comfortably.
-
Nice if it was in BW
-
I like this, but it would be better if it was in BW.

This is a shot of an old mill that was destroyed by fire. In the
orginal shot, picture is in this folder also, the floor was very
dark. I was playing with photoshop's brightness and contrast
controls to enhance the picture somewhat. Although this is not the
final result I was looking for, it got my eye and I kind of like the
effect. Reminds me of a drawing rather then a photograph.
Would appreciate some comments.
Thanks

Be Nice!

I love the picture, even if manipulated. However to me it appears not to be a moonlight effect but rather the castle being lighted by an artifical (bright) light comming from the left.
-
Would be nice in BW. The subject, I assume the house, is to distance for my taste.
-
upload image to big, otherwish good
-
I like this and agree with the above comment, the sky does indeed add to this picture.
-
I agree with the above, nice shot.
-
The photo is blurred. The idea is ok, but the quality of the picture is poor.
-
Like the shot, however I do not like the white spot.
