Looks like your horizon tilts up on the right & maybe too much (un)sharpening. Colors and composition look good. Although I would have went tighter on the boat and gave up some of the foreground.

    Dead Water

Most cemetaries (at least where I'm from) have water spigots to water the lawn, and true to this photo they almost never provide a means for attaching the hose easily.

To better connect the spigot to what I beleive is its context, I would have increased the depth of field to bring the gravestones into focus.

I like the overall composition. This photo brings back memories of volunteering at my church cememtary years ago. Thanks for sharing!

Warm colors, I like the glow of the lower left quadrant. Nice detailed and green capture of the pines provides excellent illustration of the massive scale of the formations. I like it a lot!

    I rate an 8 & 8.

  1. I always liked the Eifel tower rendered only in black and white. This one changes that. I have never seen a more pleasing photo of the Eifel Tower or Paris than this one. Simply great!

Here in Holland I have seen many dogs transported on bikes. Mostly in baskets on the front in the case of small dogs and sometimes in boxes or bigger baskets on the back rack. I have never seen a dog of this size riding a bike. I can't tell who's pedalling who. Great catch of this funny moment.

For me the composition says something like, "We're on track but we don't know what's around the next bend or down the hill. Just hang on, here we go." This is the kind of photo that has the potential to really trigger philosophical thought--at least for me. Composition is great. I think the tracks not being in sharp focus contributes to leading the eyes away and into the distance at a quick pace, thus contributing to that "what's next" feeling. I like it a lot!
