Quite the eye twister as you try to decide the perspective. I settled that you were at the top of stairs, pointing the camera down on the steps. I like the colors, very nicely done.

This is a complicated image. With the varying light it kind of seems a bit busy. This might be better if you stake out the place for a day and find the right lighting.

Im sure it was the colors and textures that drew you into this, but I would get closer and make it just about those. There is too much that takes you away from the subject. Composition is nice, colors are vibrant, and exposure is spot on.

There's a lot going on in the background that doesn't necessarily add to the picture. I might try walking around him and shooting from different angles, maybe even below or above to get those cars out of the way. Although documentary type purposes show that he's on the street with busy traffic, there's just too much extra like the symbols that are partially in frame.

This is a fun image. The black and white works well, although I bet the color might also be really nice. Congrats.

I stand by my critique. To an amateur's eyes Im sure they wouldn't notice, but to any trained photographer it's very noticeable. You should never really know that a photo has been through photoshop if it's done well. The line between your processing and the orchids that are untouched is very pronounced.

This is really nice but the photoshop work isn't very good. Keep working on those skills. The image itself though and the focus etc looks great. Use DOF to blur out the background in camera, or use lighting to isolate those front blooms.

Absolutely wonderful. I wish the quality here was better though. It looks very noisy. What camera did you use?

Great job here. I love the B/W, contrast, and lighting.

I love the composition here. I think the lines work great and it's a hard shot to take from that perspective. Great job.

So I get from the title that you want this to be about the barrier, but the image doesn't really say that. You've got a lot going on in the background which probably is partly a cropping issue, and the other would be DOF. Your composition isn't really up to par either. Keep working on it. I would go back and reshoot this and put it with this image. Working on the same concept with critiques has helped me tremendously!

There's a lot to say about this. First is the quality on my computer is pretty low. I also want to ask what it is that you want to be in focus? Im getting just a snippet on the left that's in focus and Im not really sure what it is you want us to surmise about the image. Your communication isn't real clear here.

Hysterically funny that the sex Atlas and the DSMIV are right beside each other. Not sure if that's why you photographed it, but it's funny.
