John Peri 1,029 Posted October 30, 2009 Ha, thanks Jim, he was a fascinating photograper .. I wonder if he ever did any nudes ? Link to comment
philippe_carly 0 Posted October 30, 2009 Really like this one, it has a very nice touch of "casual" to it... Faked simplicity ;-D Well done ! Link to comment
billsymmons 0 Posted October 30, 2009 Very nice John. The model seems to really engage with the camera here, it draws the viewer into the image nicely. Another example of your portraits folio being the most viewed. My compliments, Bill Link to comment
John Peri 1,029 Posted October 30, 2009 Thanks Bill, but this is a separate "nude"-portrait portfolio, there is no nudity in the portrait file .... :-) Link to comment
morophaenixmau 17 Posted October 30, 2009 Too much nice, elegant and sensual work:...you are "the nude master"!...Ciaomau! Link to comment
billsymmons 0 Posted October 31, 2009 I guess I was a little rushed in my writing John. What I meant to express was your ability to produce empathetic and engaging portraits. In this image, to me, the portrait is the thing, the nudity only adds a bit of vulnerability. All my best, Bill Link to comment
John Peri 1,029 Posted October 31, 2009 How nicely expressed, thank you Bill. So often I would say, the nudity is only there to liberate the model from the constraints of conformity and due process. Link to comment
JPPhoto1664880217 5 Posted November 3, 2009 Relative to Hurrell, the only nude work of his that I am aware of is the Joan Collins pictorial he shot for Playboy in 1984. Collins was 50 at the time and would not do it unless Hurrell was the photographer. The result was a 12 page layout. That issue of the magazine became a bestseller. Jim Phelps Link to comment
