Thanks Bill, but this is a separate "nude"-portrait portfolio, there is no nudity in the portrait file .... :-)

I guess I was a little rushed in my writing John. What I meant to express was your ability to produce empathetic and engaging portraits. In this image, to me, the portrait is the thing, the nudity only adds a bit of vulnerability.

How nicely expressed, thank you Bill. So often I would say, the nudity is only there to liberate the model from the constraints of conformity and due process.

Relative to Hurrell, the only nude work of his that I am aware of is the Joan Collins pictorial he shot for Playboy in 1984. Collins was 50 at the time and would not do it unless Hurrell was the photographer.

 

The result was a 12 page layout. That issue of the magazine became a bestseller.
