Dick... Love these little guys. We don't have them in lower Alabama, but see them every time we go to the Smokies. I called them "beggar birds" until finding their real name. When we stop for lunch on the trails, they will literally hop up to your foot and just sit and wait for a handout. Very personable little birds... great shot... Mike

These little birds are not as bold as the nuthatches and chickadees up here. They stay more on the ground and only fly up to fences or trees occasionally. They almost look like they're smiling at you.
