Great reflections....it's hard to believe that even the leaves in the ponds are almost gone too....I guess it will be ice we'll be seeing soon! (PS...love your new Bio. ldavidson 4 Posted October 25, 2009 Hi Gail! It's good to hear from you. Thanks for commenting on this. We had a glorious fall day today and I spent it out at a Provincial Park shooting images like this one. I had fun with the bio shot. I like to do something for Halloween every year. It is always difficult to find someone to pose for me. So I am stuck with myself. Honestly, I look more like a witch before than after Photoshop. The white face ironed me out a bit, and the scarf hid the double chin. Thank you again for your kind remarks. Best wishes. Link to comment

Donna Stavis 0 Posted November 5, 2009 Joy and melancholy. Blue sky, puffy cloud, a pond dappled with colorful leaves -- the fruits perhaps of an invigorating hike,.. but then another layer...the broken birch reminds us of an underlying sense of death, a darker side of Mother Nature,...and hibernation once the pageantry is gone, and the freeze of winter, austerity, bare trees, brittleness, and dormancy. What I love about your portfolio is the harmony you share with nature and with the viewers. Link to comment

rebekah1 0 Posted November 15, 2009 Reflections are my latest passion, especially with the fall colors reflected in the ponds. It looks like a beaver might have visited this one. We have the same problem so the beavers have to be trapped and moved. I always feel sorry for them because they have excellent skills but no one seems to appreciate them. All of your photos, digital manipulations, and art work are outstanding so I always enjoy seeing what you have created recently to share on PN. Blessings from the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia where we are enjoying an Indian Summer after soaking rains. Rebekah B. Link to comment
ldavidson 4 Posted November 17, 2009 You are absolutly right about the beavers. This was taken in a Provincial Park, so the wildlife is protected. I appreciate them, I think they are admirable little animals, they work so hard. I know many people don't want their streams or creeks blocked by their lodges. I hope you are still enjoying your Indian Summer, ours is all over and it beginning to get nippy. Link to comment
