I played with filters, a small amount of zoom and panning to get more

vibrant color and a slight painted effect. What are your thoughts?

Good creative work sometimes pay....you have succeed with this one.

Wonderful colours and just the right amount of blur. It was a real treat to view it large !

Beautiful colors, the foreground waterfalls give strong sense of near and far to this photo. I really like your "painting technique" that make the picture looks more romantic. Best regards.

Thank you so much for all the encouraging words on this photo. This was not my first attempt to get a shot like this. There were many terrible photos along the way! I was pretty happy with the result of this one…of course I know I can do it even better with more practice and likely many more terrible photos before I get another decent one ;)

Mark, I wish I could have shown more of the water; it’s not really a waterfall but a dam of sorts. My lens was a 24-105 and I had to choose tree tops or water, I couldn’t get both into the frame. I wanted some water so this was where I ended up.

Warm regards, Pamela

I kinda agree with Mark on this; I think I might have shifted position a skosh (if possible) to eliminate the rolling dam; or found a view that brought it more into play. Personally, I think the fall colors are the subject of this image, and not the water. You could crop this, but the logs in lower middle-center become problematic. For this image, it is what is; and it is very beautiful. Some really gorgeous colors, and thanks for sharing! Cheers! Chris

I think you were very successful with your technique, this image does have a 'painting' look to it. The colours are very beautiful, particularly the band of orange/red at the base of the trees. I like your composition.

A different image than the other. The river really takes a back seat in this picture which is more about the foliage. Well excecuted picture but not anything terribly different from many other similar shots. - Charles
