GailAnthonyHarmer 5 Posted October 17, 2009 I have done this photo over and over..taken with my Dad's Olympus E-1 which I had no experience on at the time....but the skies this day were that blue...and the Ocean was a color I'd never seen before. I'm amazed it turned out at all....due to my 'ignorance' of a DSLR....comments welcome and appreciated...tnks Gail Link to comment
Tom Wiggins Photography 0 Posted October 17, 2009 Gail: Great shot. What technique do you use in PS? Thank for your recent comment of Saint Michel. I do think the pencil line technique does make the image pop. Tom Link to comment
billsymmons 0 Posted October 17, 2009 Great location shot Gail. I'm looking at it on my netbook, which is not calibrated, but the type of sky you have here always tends to be uneven, the clouds are a bit light and the blue on the other side a bit heavy maybe. It might benefit from a more even sky tone. Nice shot. All my best, Bill Link to comment
ndj 0 Posted October 17, 2009 Nice scene Gail! Looks a gorgeous place to visit. I think Bill may be right about the colors being little too cool in this one. Some beautiful pastel shades in the buildings. All the best,Neil Link to comment
michaellinder 16,611 Posted October 19, 2009 Aside from the obvious beauty of the colors, I love the perspective. It adds a great deal to the structures that are set back from the shoreline. michael Link to comment

GailAnthonyHarmer 5 Posted October 21, 2009 for your comments and advice................apart from not knowing what I was doing when I took the shot.......this image has been a 'thorne in my side'..........The blues and sky I've worked on many times.........and will continue to do so......I'll use it as a 'learning image'................a lot to learn but more than willing.....tnks again, Gail Link to comment
lizweisiger 0 Posted October 22, 2009 Very nice image, Gail. I get a feeling of nostalgia from this perspective. Beautiful composition and tonal work. Link to comment
alfbailey 1 Posted October 23, 2009 This image gives me the impression of a water colour, particularly the pastel tones of the buildings, as Liz mentions above, there is a certain nostalgic element to the whole scene, I like it! Kind Regards Alf Link to comment
