matthew_peters 0 Posted September 25, 2002 The composition is very good as is. The colors and light are outstanding. The bright yellow rock on the far right is a little distracting and a little crop might help, but this is a minor point. There are some nice grooves in the red rock in the middle foreground (no doubt left by the retreating glacier). Something to try would be to move closer to them and somehow use their lines to lead the viewer's eye into the photo towards the rocky sunlit peak. This would however eliminate the symmetry above formed by the peak, grooves and rock at the very bottom of the frame, almost shadowing the peak. It may or may not make a better picture, that would depend on other factors - perhaps by getting this close your shadow would get in the way - but is worth a try. Link to comment
ron_karpel 0 Posted September 25, 2002 Very nice shot. The slab of rock is interesting and it is drawing attention from your main subject, the peak (I assume). Maybe if you cropped the bottom and right 1/4 it would enhance the appearance of the peak. Link to comment
mike_mcbride 0 Posted September 28, 2002 Personally, I like strong, interesting foregrounds. Without them, pictures of mountains often lack punch. The foreground puts the mountains in context. Beautiful shot! Link to comment
paulrunnesto 0 Posted November 3, 2002 An excellent picture with strong colours. I like the composition with the rock in the foreground. Did you use any filter? Are the colours natural? Link to comment
vuyisich 0 Posted November 3, 2002 I think I used a polarizer here (not sure). The colors are real and this is exactly how the slide looks. Link to comment
