I liked the position of the hands, which, I think, an essential part of this particular one.

I wonder if you would be inclined to burn the (?)mother's dress a bit, if this were a darkroom print.

Thank you for coming and comment. Let me check you...Do you mean burn the mother's blouse or burn the mother's skirt or "dodge" (instead of burn) her skirt. On my monitior the mother's skirt is black as black can be. If you meant "dodge the mother's dress" then it would not improve the photo. There absolutely no detail/texture in the skirt to bring out as recorded by the digital camera. If you see this clarify for me and again thank you for coming.

I mean burning the bright parts of the blouse a bit; to let the little sweetie "shine" better.

The attached revision shows roughly what I had in mind. (I have darkened the lady's foot a bit too).

I'm not sure, in the end, whether I liked the result, though!

As you point out, the foot should have been burned. Not sure about the blouse. Unfortunately, the skirt cannot be resecued. Thanks for explaining.
